Annual inspections are performed on properties that are still under the building permit. It requires a building permit to do a final inspection on the structure. A typical annual inspection includes a pre-preliminary survey of the property, an inspection of the mechanical and electrical system, foundation and framing of the property, and an investigation of the roof, attic, interior and exterior walls, and any other external aspects of the property.
